But not as bad as Ground Elder, which is an umbellifer, if you let it get that far. Spreads even more quickly than couch, and if you try to dig it up, the roots break off and then fresh ground elder grows from even tiny bits of root. :(

But our lawn gets little light except in summer (due to a neighbour's hedge) and moss is rampant. We now take the stance that moss is green, and let it alone!Gillyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00322140697547406511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8419139030012374765.post-59546702585472234062013-11-05T11:18:12.340-05:002013-11-05T11:18:12.340-05:00Here, all our trees still have their leaves. Our lawn is about 80% moss, as the end gets little sun, but hey! who cares? its green!! I think when you get older you Just Don't Care Anymore!! We've got trees in the park whose leaves just curled up and died, but elsewhere the autumnal colours are really great! We have a Chinese Rowan that has been just amazing. I think we should hire him even if we have to hire Scott's afterwards. The winter is so long and gray over here, so this respite of later sun and warmth is more appreciated than the fall colors this year.
Kimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04151504335098388579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8419139030012374765.post-88175285352945625932013-10-28T21:16:31.834-04:002013-10-28T21:16:31.834-04:00Pretty much the same thing in Illinois. Our trees here so far aren't near as pretty OVERALL. We do have some color --but it's not all over like usual. AND--we have big trees suffering with a fungus and losing their leaves.... We finally broke down and hired "TruGreen" to work on our trees/grass/shrubs..... Hope it works.. It will take awhile to improve --but what we really need now is RAIN. Crazy!

Good Luck to you all...
Hugs,
BetsyBetsy Banks Adamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16223591156634767330noreply@blogger.com
