I've been busy in the garden -- dead-heading, weeding, and watering. Each year some species outshines the others. Two years ago peaches were heavenly; last year we were up to our schnutzes in tomatoes; this year lilies are amazing! I've also got six voluntary cucumber or squash plants (I'm tending to think they're some kind of squash -- the flowers are dark yellow.) in the rose garden, courtesy of the composted manure from my son's farm. It's like Christmas waiting to identify the bounty!
Yesterday, I put together this solar bird bath/fountain that I found on QVC, thanks to Purple Flowers. The sun must be shining for it to do its fountain thing. It's like a holy water font that gurgles (all you RCs out there know what I'm talking about.)!

I'm glad you are enjoying it! :)
beautiful!
What's it made out of? I've always wanted a fountain. For now I'm happy with my bird bath :)
So, we keep missing each other. I've been working my butt off! Balancing the leisurely life with the work life is hard, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
looks great! happy weekend kathy!
Haha...this reminds me of the time I had a volunteer rose!! I was amazed and couldn't wait to see which of my beloved roses had a baby...then I realized that the leaf formation was that of a wild rose (a horrible weed here in my area) and it was immediately dispatched! But not with some disappointment. Here's hoping you have something wonderful growing!
Hope you're well and having a great summer! It sure sounds like it!
Make that "...not WITHOUT some disappointment".
I sure wish we could edit what we type on blogs! LOL
Yes, our weather has been gorgeous.
I like your bird bath fountain. I love to hear the sound of water. It's nice that the birds can have a shower in stead of a bath once in a while. :-)
I've always wondered about those solar fountains. Keep us posted about how it works.
Ohh, I love your fountain. I've always wanted a pond or a fountain in the yard. I love the sound of running water.
You have an award over at my blog.
Hmmm, I love the sound of fountains. I also have to apologize to you for not commenting on your lovely Bermuda photo's. I have seen them as soon as you had sent me the link, but between that moment and now...hmmm...there is this time gap that even I can not fill in.
But..that towel monkey made me laugh and I tried to figure out how to fold that one for my kids...it's just too funny. I still have no clue.
XXX, Carmie.
I want to know where your schnutzes are located. Purely scientific curiosity of course.
Hearing water trickling is very relaxing. Just hearing it can make you feel cooler, and the birds love it!
Oh, I love your bird bath/fountain! I think I need one of those.
