EVERYONE has been talking about it: the excessive temperatures and heat indices we've been enduring. No, there's no climate change, is there? Today we get a little "break" -- only in the 90s.
These were taken after just the FIRST blizzard. Just five months ago this was the 'view,' restricted as it is, from my upstairs office....
The Patio is Under There Someplace!
Would I ever like to roll around in this for a while!

Love it!! Thanks for reminding it. Personally, I'll take snow over heat.
I'd still rather deal with the heat than the snow!! :-)
It used to be that I hated summer and loved winter. As I get older that is slowly shifting. That shift is almost complete now. I really hate winter but don't completely love summer. YET. ;-)
Seems like the East Coast is auditioning for an Extreme Weather reality show.
It's the extremes that are hard to deal with. Here in Seattle we don't usually have extreme weather, but today it's 91 and rising. That's extremely hot for us!
I'd take snow over this oppressive heat any day of the year. Make it go away!!

Did I mention that we are under cold and drizzly skies?
I posted a picture of snow today as well with exactly the same purpose in mind. I enjoyed your pictures, but still feel very warm.
I put ice cubes in my birdbath yesterday to melt for the birds. I still prefer the heat, but enough already! I went out hoping for cooler weather this morning. The humidity was the first thing I felt. I'm so glad I work in a nicely air-conditioned building.
I've come back a second time to see the snow. :)
Ah! I feel much cooler now! Must have a look at my snow pics!
Terribly muggy and humid here, though not as hot as you, but the pollen count is far too high for my comfort!
Thank you thank you. That poem is written with my tongue in my cheek.
Doesn't matter what we like. The world's coming to and end in 2012 anyway:O
