Bruti ma buoni!*

All I have to pack are my toiletries and I'm ready to roll with any kind of weather Mother N pitches at us.  We'll be leaving here in 89° temps and cruising to where the highs will be in the low to mid 60s.

I worked outside this morning, dead-heading, watering, weeding and cutting back.  The stink bugs are out in plague proportions and I thought how nice it would be to throttle whoever was responsible for bringing these ugly, ugly insects to Central PA from which they've migrated south.  I've mentioned before they have no known predator here as their safety response is this putrid stink they give off, so that no bird will go near them.  They are able to infiltrate even the tightest of screens and screen doors, so I have my vacuum plugged in and at the ready and have camphor in the vacuum bag to counter the stink of the bugs (yes, it's that bad).

After reading my previous post, I realized that had grand daughter exhibited that kind of behavior at four or five years old, she would have been obnoxious and not so darn cute.  She's only two and yes, she does have the two of us wrapped around her little finger.

*I am a cookie monster as I've never met a cookie I didn't like (actually, I'm lying:  I don't like Oreos and most boxed cookies).  Bruti ma buoni (in Italian means "ugly but good") are an exception.  Put out by Trader Joe's, these almond cookies are WONDERFUL.  Just what I need:  a new vice.

Does anyone know how to get a picture from Facebook over to a blog?

For some cookies (yes I'll take the kind found in boxes on store shelves) I can tell you how to get a FB image to Blogger. :D

Ok, ok, I'll tell you even without the cookies. You should be able to right click on the photo then do a Save Image As. Once you have it saved to your computer it is a simple matter to upload it to blogger. Hope that helps.

Grands do have that effect on us, don't they? My daughter is amazed at what I think is cute when the grands do it...compared to what I thought when she did the same! I think her memory is faulty.

We've seen more stink bugs this year than ever before; I haven't seen any inside, though! Have a great trip!

To get a photo from Facebook over to a blog, I take a screen shot of it or on some computers it's known as doing a grab.

As for these crappy stink bugs, they are an Asian bug that somehow came to the U.S. Probably on some huge freight ship. I HATE THEM!! Such aggressive, ugly, annoying things. They creep in under any crack in any door or window and will stick around until we get a nice frost on the ground.

Enjoy your trip!

Enjoy your cruise, Kathy! I am doing lit. circles right now in class. I think I will use your sheet as a concluding activity. Thanks for letting me have a copy. I will let you know how it turns out! Have a great time!

I just saw a feature on the Today show about them. I am so glad they haven't found there way down here. We have love bugs and that is plenty.

I hope you have a wonderful cruise. I also hope that the stink bugs don't make it any farther south!
