* five dollars a pound!
A lovely and funny Christmas Eve. We had mussels, shrimp and linguini, and calamari and lots of cookies. Ariana (2) is terrorized of Santa Claus (to the point we have to spell it) and was afraid to open gifts. Never fear, however: Poppy to the rescue. Lots of out of control running through the house (and the little ones were wound tight, too) and tickling her ever sweet and patient 11-year old cousin, Kylie, to whom Ariana refers as her "Gulfwend". Suffice to say that S-A-N-T-A was good to everyone.
And so, dear blogger friends, I wish you a Christmas full of wonder and a New Year of many blessings.

Is there a difference? Squid when it's in the ocean and calamari when it's on your plate? :)
A very Merry Christmas to you!
The difference? None, it's like chewing rubber.
Merry Christmas! Glad you had a wonderful one :) seafood was one of our things we had this year being back home :) most definately yumo!
It is so fun with little ones, even when they are scared and you have to spell Santa! Sounds like a wonderful time. We had the mussels and shrimp on Christmas Eve, too!
I love seafood! I had my share of Dungeness crabs yesterday at Boom Town Casino buffett. It was our Christmas lunch since we did so much cooking over Thanksgiving holidays. Merry Christmas to you, Kathy.
The difference between squid and calamari? One tastes like seasoned inner tubes; the other like the tire. Merry Christmas!
mmmm...squid is something I can't bring myself to eat...calamari, on the other hand, is something I can't bring myself to eat! Ooops! No difference! I even eat fried liver and onion, but can't seem to like calamari.
Anywho! Sounds like a wonderul Christmas filled with fun and family; it's the best!
I know your Christmas was filled with laughter. So much fun with the grands, huh? Merry Christmas dear friend.
