Good Moon Rising

I appreciate all of your support in letting me engage in my own little 'pity fest.'  Sometimes we just need to do that.  After taking it easy for the rest of the day, I'm feeling much better and have just about all of my energy back.  It's no wonder, though, as Richard and I got up past 1:30 AM  to view the lunar eclipse.  It was very exciting, about 18°, and the stars amazed the two of us.

This is what it looked like when we first got outside.
A short time later...
And then at about 99% completed...
And then we went back to bed.

Glad to know you are feeling better. I wanted to stay up to watch the eclipse, but fell asleep around midnight. Thanks for the pictures.

We woke up after the eclipse had started. I managed to get some pictures, but nothing as good as yours. I'll post any good ones I got after we get back home.

These are some great photos of the lunar eclipse! It was pretty amazing. We were able to see it about 3:15 a.m. here and I thought it was worth getting up for!
Events like this help me put things in perspective.

I forgot to tell you that I love your blog Christmas Tree!

I woke up long enough to get my son out of bed, go outside, gaze at the shadows crossing in its path and say 'ummm, okay!'
Then we went to bed!
loved the photos :)
