We're Deckin'; We're Donnin; We're Fa La La-in...

In about three hours about 30 neighbors will descend upon us.  We're hosting our neighborhood Christmas party. It's almost 50° and it's raining, but the temp is supposed to drop like a stone later tonight.   The house is decorated, inside and out.  The bathrooms are clean, and  I've been cooking since yesterday -- made a variety of small sandwiches; spanokopita; baked brie with pears, walnuts and raisins; shrimp salad; the ubiquitous bread bowl dip; veggies; a huge platter of chicken tenders; meatballs, and smoked turkey and smoked ham on mini pumpkin muffins.  Everyone is bringing desserts...  :)

I wish each and everyone of you could join us.

And now, I need to put my feet up for a bit.  Blessings.

Dear Kathy -- It sounds like fun! For now, be "restive" so tonight you will be "festive"!

Oh my goodness, you should be exhaused after cooking all that food. I did that one time in our neighborhood and was so tired I thought I was going to die after it was over. Blessings on your and I'm sure your guests will have a very good time.

Wow, that's a lot of people to host in your home but I'm sure, like your heart, your home will more than accommodate everyone.
Have a wonderful gathering Kathy :)

p.s. Would love it if you had a little bit of that brie and pear for me! LOL

Goodness, I wish I lived closer; I would crash your party. Well, maybe not crash it because I would bring cream puffs!
Enjoy and have fun!

I'm SO glad I was there. Your exterior decorations were about the most beautiful I've seen. Your house was beautiful. I'll be full from all the food for hours. Thank you so much for including me.
