Last night we were supposed to have 'periods of drizzle' but sometime in the middle of the night I woke to the sound of ice hitting our window. And this is what I saw when I got up this morning.
And it's still coming down. Supposed to stop for a while and then we'll get dumped on later tonight.
Am still fooling with the camera. Took this out the front door.
And then spotted these two frolicking in the back yard. Husband grabbed the camera because I didn't have my glasses. Can you see what we spotted? The two of them have been hanging about for the past month or so. I'm assuming they're siblings. And now we know why our squirrel population has decreased a bit.

Look over the pot on the left and then to the right of the big trunk.
The one on the right is rolling around in the snow.
I think it's time to put a nice pot of minestrone on the stove and maybe bake some bread.

I've seen foxes around the lake too.
Wonder how much snow we will end up with.
It was so nice walking around the lake this morning!!
Cool! Those foxes are probably looking for the bunnies that eat your garden.
We have a fox that likes to bait our dog when we walk at night...waits until Nessa sees him, then takes off so Nessa will chase him...Nessa finally gives up and comes back...fox comes back and lets Nessa see him again...Nessa chases again...repeat ad infinitum.
Cool! Snow day in the kitchen.
Bread and minestrone sound great -- it's cold and wet here today. I'm glad you got these pictures of your foxes. Would you consider sharing them so they can give us a decrease in our squirrel population?
We are having the same storm. Early dismissal from school today.
I just popped a roast into the oven since I came home early.
Great pics of the foxes.
Nice! We used to see a fox every now and then when we lived in Columbia but have yet to see one here in Roanoke. They're pretty handsome fellas!
We worry about the coyotes here baiting our dogs and then hurting them so we keep a close eye when our dogs go into the backyard at night.

Oh My..... Wish we had a few of those foxes here ---to help us get rid of some of our pesky squirrels... ha...
It's a cold, wet, dreary, snowy day here too...Where's spring?
Hugs,
Betsy
I've seen a few of them around here. Sly fox.
I would walk in the snow for homemade bread and soup. Yummy.
I roasted a bunch of veggies this evening in my new Dutch Oven, and then baked some Cod. It was delicious if I may say so myself. ;)
It's been snowing here all day, and suppose to continue into the early morning. Wow...are we getting hit.
How fun is that? Do you live in the country?
Old Bay in the bath. Um, no :) Eating bread and soup while bathing? I could probably manage that.
Deer and rabbits, squirrels and foxes. You get a lot of wildlife there. Your house is in the perfect location. Too bad so many of the animals like your plants.
The snow is pretty. It's a great excuse to nest. So glad I'm off tomorrow.
