A Wondrous Sight

I rolled out of bed this morning and immediately grabbed my camera.  Couldn't get very far, but was able to open a couple of the sliding glass doors on the porch and 'hang out'.  Looks like we got about 8-10" of very wet snow that now appears to be frozen to the trees.   Frankly, these photos do not do it justice...

I'll be going to the gym later, if I can get out.  Supposed to be a balmy 34°... a veritable heat wave!

Over a foot of snow here. I was helping Allen brush off shovel around his car this morning at 6:00am. I then came in and made a bowl of oatmeal. Yummy! It's a winter wonderful, however, this girl is getting abit tired of it. See my blog. :)

Simply lovely heat wave you are having.

Beautiful, yes. Unfortunately, there are a lot of branches and whole trees down in our area from the weight of the wet snow, and our hill is still a sheet of ice. I think I'm ready for Spring...

Capture it now before it starts to drip and fall off the trees. That's the kind of snow we get here, when we get any at all. It is very beautiful for such a short time, and then it's just messy and inconvenient.
Be careful out there driving.

You must be an optomist. Can imagine even thinking about getting out, especially to exercise. I'd much prefer hot cider and a good book.

Stunning photos! I love the snow right after it falls, it looks beautiful.
I hope it doesn't get too heavy for those branches.

These photos are beautiful. That is exactly the type of snow Betsy wishes we would get here, but haven't. You definitely woke up to a winter wonderland.

I will enjoy the snow by looking at your photos. I'm grateful I don't have to deal with it.

Very pretty. Looks very heavy, though. Did shovelling turn out to be enough of a workout for the day?

Wow! You guys are really getting socked. My daughter lives in Illinois and they had to shovel themselves out last week, too. The snow looks magically pretty though!
