Some Extra Time to Blog...

To my friend at Vanilla Bean Baker -- yes "Harry Bauld" IS an oxymoron.  The kids always loved that!

And to all -- never, ever, ever, ever do I or would I judge or 'grade' anyone else's writing (unless they're paying me to do so). That part of my life is gone--thankfully.   I'm thrilled to read your blogs and comments all.

Well, tonight I did it.  All day I'd been preparing for book club, but since we have a cat, we had to have the meeting elsewhere (a couple of our members are allergic).  Since it was my turn to lead the discussion, I spent the day re-reading Kristin Hannah's Winter Garden, making notes, and since the main characters owned an apple orchard, I made an apple cake.

At six, I changed, gathered the book, the cake, and some  decaf green tea I thought we could serve, and set out.  I knocked on the door, my friend answered and informed me that we were meeting tomorrow night.  I had copied the date down wrong on all six of the calendars in this house...Sheesh.

I thought I was the only one who did things like that. But at least you're well-prepared for tomorrow.

HAHAHA!! Too funny! This is taking the "be prepared" Scout motto just a tad far. But, you can relax today!

To quote the Black Eyed Peas...*Tonight's the Night* and no doubt your book club will begin with your story of showing up a day early! Too funny. Hope they all enjoy that apple cake and tea. I know I would.

Oh, goodie, I am not alone. LOL

Thanks for your comments. I love my new and smaller writing workshop. If you get a chance to read more often than once a month, you learn faster. I'm really grateful that the workshop is a mile away from the house too.

And how was the Book Club meeting? :)

Six calendars? I'm always getting those moments of panic where I wonder if I wrote something down, or got the wrong date. It happens.

Funny! I kept MISSING meetings before I realized I was running three calendars on my iPhone....I wondered what the little different colored dots were for! At least you didn't miss anything. :D

Hoo boy! I guess we've all done that at one time or other. I know I have. I have a calendar in my purse, on my wall in the kitchen and on my desk.

I think apple cake gets better when it's had time to meld the flavors. My bookclub is tomorrow. I'm bringing tea!
