To Zoom Or Not To Zoom

An early riser, the Big Guy, got these great shots.
Although, not our suet feeder thief, this fox enjoys the windfall.
He also got this shot of the rare blue mushroom...

And a 'before zoom' of this hawk...
Have a nice Sunday.  We'll be planting two roses and packing for our trip to San Diego!!

Wow! Great shots. Travel safe and enjoy your trip to San Diego. (a little jealous that you are already able to do some planting!)

Oh wow! Great fox photos. We had one in the neighborhood when we lived in Columbia but haven't seen any here in Roanoke. I just read about a fox attacking some people. http://www.wvec.com/news/local/Fox-attacks-3-in-VA-Beach-117856189.html

Have a great trip!!

I tried to get a pic of a fox near the lake one day. He was just too camera shy though and wouldn't come back out of the woods for me.

I've never seen a blue mushroom. Wow!

Hi Kathy, Glad you got that zoom. You will LOVE it... The hardest part for me is having the zoom lens on when I need the regular one (or vice versa) --and when I get them changed, it's too late for the picture!!!!! ha ha

Great pictures of the fox and hawk...

Hope your suet feeder stays this time.
Hugs,
Betsy

As one with no access to wild animals I very much enjoyed the fox pictures.

Have a fun trip.

Great photos. We cleaned up our garden yesterday; it needed it badly. Then we went out for a seafood lunch - delicious!

Have a wonderful time in San Diego with your friends. I'll see you back online upon your return!

The fox is beautiful, the hawk, too. I've never seen a blue mushroom! It makes me think of the Smurfs!
These are amazing photos, great job!

Congrats to The Mr. on the fox photo...I'm imagining that rare blue mushroom was difficult to catch, too! :)

I'm a tad bit jealous of your California trip...I need to plan something for us for May, and need to get myself together to do it!

Gorgeous pictures. I do not think I've ever seen a blue mushroom. I's forgotten that a fox looks different than an over grown cat. They are much prettier in the US!

I love the fox - he is so pretty. Is there really such a thing as a blue mushroom?

Have a good trip to San Diego!
