Wagons, Ho!!!

The comments on my ceramic, bue mushroom were very interesting!  It's one of a four piece garden set my sweet DIL gave us.

At the suggestion of some of you, I sent the last post on to Roger Goodell.  I don't expect a response.

We arrived in San Diego yesterday.    It was a totally booked flight -- on Southwest (where the only difference between boarding and cattle drives is the mooing).  Sitting wedged up against the window, I tried to play solitaire on Richard's computer, but couldn't move my arms -- and the man behind me talked for five solid hours -- loudly!  But after landing were picked up by Marge and Dave and taken to dinner at C-level -- fantastic mojitos and great food -- right on Harbor Island overlooking downtown San Diego.  A great start to our week.

Today, we went up San Jacinto on the cable car (Pictures to follow) and enjoyed spectacular views of the Coachella Valley from at 8600 feet.  We then had dinner at Spencer's where we kind of over-ordered  calamari and brought almost all of it home with us.  Tomorrow we're going to Joshua Tree National Park and then home for a lunch of left-over calamari.  Both should take about four hours.

Aha! So it WAS an artificial mushroom afterall. Beautiful though. Have a fun time at the park.

Except for the part about the calamari (which has always tasted to me like slices of inner tube, but with less flavor), it sounds wonderful. Have a great time...looking forward to the pictures!

Color me green, Kathy! And it has nothing to do with the current St. P's Day celebration...it's all about the envy! Looking forward to reading about more of your adventures.

Funny about your explanation about Southwest... I HATE flying just for those reasons... But--sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do in order to get from one side of the country to the other....

Hope you enjoy your visit. Can't wait to see pictures.
Hugs,
Betsy

Enjoy your time in one of my favorite places. Your comment comparing boarding a plane and cattle drives was priceless! Can't wait to see the photos.

It sounds as if your trip to San Diego has gotten off to a good start, in spite of the cattle drive to board the plane. I look forward to seeing the pictures -- I've often heard that San Diego is beautiful.

I haven't been on a plane in years and years. I don't miss it, except the traveling part. I wish I could travel!

I know how much you love San Diego. Enjoy!

Oy, those kind of flights can be miserable but at least you arrived safely!
Love SD. I lived there for 4 and half years. It's so great but has changed so much. Haven't been to Joshua tree in a million years. Can't wait to see your pics! Have an amazing time!!!
