Zippity Doo Dah, Zippity A, My Oh My...

I'm doing very well; thank you to all who left comments or thought of me.  The common consensus around here is that the allergy is to dust and the cleaning out of the closet was the culprit.  Really, some of those dresses hadn't been touched in four (4) years.  The fact that I was in the grocery store both times is just coincidence.

Yesterday was dark and it poured most of the day.  I brightened the day by re-reading That Old Cape Magic by Richard Russo and by sleeping.  It was a good day to do both.  We'll discuss Russo's book tomorrow night at the other book club to which I belong.  I'm sure we'll have lots to talk about; the mother in this book is a real pip.  I'm sure some of the other women in the group are really going to react to her as she totally re-defines the term "toxic".  Her son, a strong and relatively successful man, is still pretty emotionally crippled by his mother -- about whom the nicest comment I can make is, "Geez, is this woman a bitch!"

On a good note:  spring is making its way across Maryland. (Although, one wouldn't have known that at 3:00 AM  when I got up and looked out the window to total white-out conditions.  It was snowing and snowing hard!)  Perennials are beginning to show themselves as are some bulbs.  The trees are all budding and the birds are singing loudly.  It's almost like a Disney movie out there!  And Saturday night, I heard the barred owl for the first time since fall.  Time for me to start planning all those pots...

It's almost spring. It doesn't really feel like it, but I know it's just around the corner. My allergies know it too. haha

I'm glad you are doing better. Dust gives me terrible asthma attacks. Perhaps, that is what set your hives off.

I am curious about the book you just read. It looks interesting. I actually looked it up on Amazon after I read what you had to say about it. I loved his Empire Falls. Have you read that? I may download this book onto my Kindle. Enjoy your book club.

It seems as though our two home spots are experiencing the same preview of spring. I am so ready.

I'm hoping spring grabs hold of your area extra quick and that stubborn winter doesn't damage any beginning buds. I wishing you warmth and aloha.

I'm glad that Spring is rolling into your town. Let me know when it moves north, and I'll look out the window. Our Spring bulbs have sprouted, however, the weather temps. and winds don't spell "spring".
Take Care.

Daffys are up and blooming like crazy here and the forsythia is doing her part in celebrating spring as well. So glad you found out that dust was the culprit... next time wear one of the little paper masks... they help a bit!

I sing that line at least once a day. :-)
I'm so glad that spring is on its way.

Hey, I just made a little rhyme there.

Spring really is in the air. So nice to see some green and shoots of new life in the garden. I heard peepers out in the marsh last night. It was a wonderful sound! Zippity all right! I'd love to be a fly on the wall at your book club. We don't have anyone like the woman you described at my group. How was it?

Good to hear you are feeling better. We are not quite seeing buds (few more weeks) but it is just good to know that Spring is on the way.

A gloomy day in bed with a book sounds delicious! I will be having a sunny day today near 90 in my own garden which is roaring to life in this weather. Much Peace to you.....

I am happy to hear that you are feeling better, and that you figured out what you are allergic to!

You impress me because you belong to not 1 but 2 book clubs! Good for you!

I see daffodils starting to come up around here so we are getting closer to spring as well.
