Two days ago I stopped by our local Bagel Bin and made a purchase. The two young people behind the counter were looking and marveling at a coin. I thought that maybe someone had given them a slug or foreign currency so I asked what they were looking at.
The young woman replied that it was a very, very old penny. "Imagine what this penny has seen! -- the history!" "Wow, said I; what a neat find. How old is it?" She said, "1953!" "Okay, I said" as I picked up my bag of sesame seed bagels. That penny is two years younger than I am."
"Wow," they said in unison. Wow, indeed...

Wow indeed!...So funny as that is the year I was born.
That is too funny. When we married I was 20 & Bob was 30. I could not imagine seeing our fiftieth anniversary. Bob would be 80 & that was ancient. Guess what, we did it & now 80 doesn't seem so old.
Ah, Grasshopper, you must learn - as I have - to embrace your inner geezer!
Ah...time's winged chariot simply will not slow down.
That is funny!!
Oh these whippersnappers! I was born in 1953, too. LOL Good post.
I love the Wheatbacks. Now, that's old. Surely not us?
Oh, the young. LOL
Thanks for the smiles. Those two would think I'm positively ancient!
OH too funny! I love it!!!
Hmm! Made me laugh, but then I thought we must look ancient to anyone so young!
