I spend a lot of time in my gardens in the spring and summer, and in the winter I plan what I'm going to plant. Warning: No Photos This Time! (Well, Maybe 1) :)

I realize my blog of late has merely been a travelogue and I regret this, although I do so love sharing photographs.  And we've been doing a bit a traveling.  After the wine cruise, we took Melissa, Ariana, and Danny to Disney World and had a wonderful time .  We all had lunch with Cinderella and the other princesses inside Cinderella's Castle.  Poppy and Danny loved it, oh, and so did Ariana.   We danced, we marched, we smiled a lot. Disney really knows how to make folks feel good.

I've also been very busy getting ready for my second knee replacement next Thursday.  This has come up suddenly.  While we were in Disney World, I realized just how unstable the knee is.  The arthritis is very advanced and while I'm not in awful pain all the time, I fear that putting off the replacement will allow more damage to occur.  Frankly, it's slowing me down and while I'm still exercising, I've had to be careful.  Walking downhill hurts and the knee constantly feels like it's going to 'give out'.  So here I go again.  We're doing all those things I won't be able to do for a while...

Yesterday we drove over to Kent Island to The Narrows for lunch of gazpacho with crab and a soft shell crab for Richard.  We've washed the windows inside and out, and the place is pretty clean.  I've been dead-heading, weeding, and trimming in the garden as with all this rain, plants have gotten a little 'leggy'.  I've had all my pre-op tests done, talked with the hospital and arranged for my preference of anesthesia, and donated a unit of my blood just in case.  I'm ready.

I also tend to use my blog as a pictorial journal of travels, especially when I get behind and the everyday life things I might want to post about interrupt the travel timeline. Sorry to hear about the knee! I hope all goes well with the surgery and recovery is quick.

Prayers for you, Kathy, for your knee replacement. Hope things go well.... My knees are 'sorta' okay--but I'm very very careful with them... I do have some arthritis in mine also.

Don't apologize for your travel photos. I LOVE 'em.
Hugs,
Betsy

Another hospital stay for you and recuperation, Kathy. I'm thinking of you - hope all goes well, and you're literally back on your feet soon! That little princess looks like she's having a good time!

Best wishes for rapid recovery from your surgery. Women are better at taking care of themselves than men, I think. A certain man I adore has been wishy-washy on the subject for years, and his knees are apparently not going to get better on their own. BTW, I like your travelogues, too.

It sounds like you are ready! This is a big deal. Hopefully all will go well and you will be mobile before long, and pain free.

Love that sweet photo. My granddaughter loves all the Disney things too.

Good luck with your knee replacement. So many of my friends are getting them recently.

While I have been reading your posts I was thinking how well you were doing since your knee replacement! It makes sense to do the other before it gets worse. You inspire me because I have that surgery in my future!

Yes, Disney is so magical. We took our kids once when they were little, can not wait to return one day with grandchildren!

Thanks so much for the note. We are a fine pair kid. We can go dancing together after our recovery. I surely will keep you in my thoughts all through this. Hugs from here.

Just checking in and catching up with blogs.... How's your knee?!! Joe had a hip replaced.... truly a miracle that they can do such surgery and restore your ability to walk pain free (eventually!) :)
