Sometimes I can't place what month we're in and frankly, the blooms around me aren't helping. Our maple tree has 'leafed' as has the crab apple behind it.
The Bradford pears and cherry trees are losing their blooms and quickly turning green.
The blueberry bush is making a promising start as are the roses, peonies (and surrounding weeds) and dicentra (bleeding hearts).
In the front of the house we've had a little help in cutting back the liriope. The deer didn't do a complete job but we do appreciate the help.
The spirea, pieris, and helleborous are in full glory.
Today is more seasonal -- about 55°, beautifully sunny and very windy. Still the mild weather of the past few weeks makes one wonder what kind of summer temps we'll experience.
