Here Today

It's a glorious day here today with one of those startling blue skies -- about 34 degrees with only a slight windchill. The roadways and most walks are clear. Tomorrow should be 47 and Friday 60 and all of the snow in these photos will be gone.
Barbecue, Anyone?

A new squirrel-proof feeder.

Hard to believe that in four weeks I can start to plant hearty nasturtiums and some pansies. It's also time for me to spray the roses and work on where I'll place the myriad pots. After they are all placed, I'll plan on paper what colors (I tend to mix a lot of red and purple) I want and then what plants I'll look for. To me this is 'fun.' It's also the time of year when Richard prepares a poster with my picture captioned with, "Don't Sell to This Woman," which he then sends it out to all area nurseries and garden stores. Last year, I just had to 'cast a wider net.' :)

It's going to be in the 70's here this weekend! Of course, we usually jump straight from the potential snow season right into the potential tornado season. Keeps things exciting.

I've just started to ruminate over the garden plans. I know I won't have them finished in time, but that's life.

I drove by the nursery on the way to work this morning and saw their sign that sweat pea starts are for sale! I'll be stopping by on the way home. I didn't know nast. come in a hardy variety - I'll have to check that out. Just leave some empty seed packets laying around and tell Richard you grew them!

I won't be able to have a garden this year - no yard anymore. But I plan on trying my hand at container gardening on my deck.

Look at all that snow!!!! I'm so jealous. But my pansies are still alive through the winter. Guess that counts for something.

I tend to lean towards the red and purple combination too. It must be our royal blood ruling our thoughts!

I will let you have he snow. It sure is pretty in the pictures.
I used to plant flowers. It seems like another life time of mine. Back when we were living in military quarters and everyone made our quarters home and a little more personal.

Have an awesome weekend.

That's funny, I posted a picture of our garden table and chairs with the same white 'icing' and asked if anyone fancied coffee on the patio! LOL!

My favourite garden colour scheme is pinks with blue and purple. I love blue and purple together.
