A Post Of Few Words And A Train Garden

Last Sunday husband, daughter, grand daughter and I visited a local Franciscan Abbey where one of the brothers has constructed a lovely Halloween train garden.

Fr. Seip seemed to enjoy his work as much as the visitors did!

The grounds are beautiful as was the day.

Hi Kathy, There is a group here in Crossville who belong to a Model Train Club. They rented space at a local mall and have model trains set up in a huge room there... They really have fixed the trains up into cities and villages, etc... It's so neat to see.

The display you all saw is typical of what this group has here... Kids love to visit the trains... What a great visit you all had to the Abbey.... Looks like a great place...

Hugs,
Betsy

That looks like quite a train set! No wonder everyone enjoyed it.

You have a very cute grand daughter, but I expect you already knew that.

It looks like a lovely place to go and spend an afternoon. I am drawn to peaceful places. They offer up a tranquility that you don't find just anywhere.
Thank you for sharing.

Looks like a beautiful day. Over 80 countries are represented in our mission here. We tend to have lots of debates going this time of year as Catholics in some areas of the world view Halloween as the work of the devil. Needless to say, our mission having a Halloween party each year tends to heat things up.

Wow, there was a lot of work put into that train! Not to mention the beautiful gardens. How nice to be able to spend such a great day with your family.

Most Evangelical churches in the UK think Halloween is the Devil's work, and would throw up their hands in horror at a Franciscan monk making a Halloween train garden!!

But it looks a lovely peaceful place to go.

I like your new header photo!
