So what did I do today? I baked pizzelles to send to my brother in Atlanta. It's a surprise, but he never reads my blog so I can mention it freely.
I'll bake some other things so the pizzelles won't be lonely on their trip South.
It's cold enough that I've got two fires going -- one here and one out on the porch. See our herd of reindeer?
Here's our decorated tree...
Our Santas...
Our creche -- which a friend of ours purchased from a craftsman in Peru.
And the house at night...

Everything looks so cozy and inviting!! It's been fun watching your crazy weather from afar. Happy evening Kathy!
Kathy,
I love the creche...how unique! We got more ice than snow but a lovely day off! I never even got out of my jammies and wouldn't call anything I did today productive but got some work done on my book. But that's the benefit of an unexpected holiday!
Stay warm...
Your house looks so cozy and Christmassy! I am certain your brother will love his pizellas! We had the ice over snow effect today, so I have hibernated!
Your home looks lovely. I think I have one reindeer that looks just like yours.
No surprise there!
Your house looks wonderful with all these wonderful Christmas decorations. The pizzelles look pretty wonderful as well.
Hi Kathy, I am SO pleased to get to see your gorgeous home, your outside and inside decorations --and that beautiful tree... SO PERFECT.... Love your Santas... If I had more room (and I don't) --I would collect Santas.. I have a few --but not too many. And your special creche is gorgeous.. Wow!!!!!
Enjoy your snow --and I hope that hubby got home safely....
Hugs,
Betsy
Love the pizzelles...I don't make them, but my SIL keeps me supplied!
Everything looks lovely and oh so festive!
Your house looks very festive, and your outdoor lights are wonderful. We drove around some neighborhoods this evening looking at Christmas lights. I love them!
I baked cookies today, too.
It's all so Christmasy!
ok, see that little corner of the sofa next to the fire? that´s where i want to be right now eating pizzelles and catching you up on the last 30 years... p.s. your house looks lovely. p.s.s. you just reminded me how my dad used to take us to south philly to see the christmas decorations...
warm hugs!
You all stay warm and enjoy the holiday. Hugs to you and yours from here.
....and slow that I am today, Merry Christmas to you and yours. :)
Love your tree and all your decorations. Your house looks really pretty at night. My mouth is watering over those pizzelles
What's a pizzelle??? Looks like a sort of pancake/biscuit(English)/cookie.
Your tree looks lovely. We aren't bothering this year, but daughter will have one, I know! I have a teeny tiny creche from Peru, a cave, with Mary and Joseph, and Jesus in the manger. On one side is a lamb, and on the other a very friendly-looking llama! Perky ears and an interested look on his face!
I love it!
The snow is a gorgeous touch for the Christmas season. If you feel like baking for me let me know.
Your pizzelles have inspired me to make some this weekend. Thanks, I needed a push!
Your house looks so beautiful.
We have not had the snow you had, thank goodness!
Kathy- your home is so lovely! Oh and that's not much snow at all, so no sympathy, my dear. Now, about those pizzelles...I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE them, you know...
Decorations are beautiful. Send some snow down here! We never get any, it is too warm.
Your brother is very lucky! They look wonderful and your house is just beautiful again this Christmas. I absolutely love all the wreaths you hang in the windows.
