Foot's Forecast Was Right!

Foot's Forecast  predicted we'd get snow in this area around 10:00 AM this morning and they were right.  We've had enough to make the roads slick, people panic, and have my dear husband stuck on Eastern Shore for the night.  This is what it looked like about a half hour after it started snowing...

So what did I do today?  I baked pizzelles to send to my brother in Atlanta.  It's a surprise, but  he never reads my blog so I can mention it freely.

I'll bake some other things so the pizzelles won't be lonely on their trip South.

It's cold enough that I've got two fires going -- one here and one out on the porch.  See our herd of reindeer?

Here's our decorated tree...

                    Our Santas...
Our creche -- which a friend of ours purchased from a craftsman in Peru.
And the house at night...

Kathy,
I love the creche...how unique! We got more ice than snow but a lovely day off! I never even got out of my jammies and wouldn't call anything I did today productive but got some work done on my book. But that's the benefit of an unexpected holiday!
Stay warm...

Your house looks so cozy and Christmassy! I am certain your brother will love his pizellas! We had the ice over snow effect today, so I have hibernated!

Your home looks lovely. I think I have one reindeer that looks just like yours.
No surprise there!

Hi Kathy, I am SO pleased to get to see your gorgeous home, your outside and inside decorations --and that beautiful tree... SO PERFECT.... Love your Santas... If I had more room (and I don't) --I would collect Santas.. I have a few --but not too many. And your special creche is gorgeous.. Wow!!!!!

Enjoy your snow --and I hope that hubby got home safely....
Hugs,
Betsy

Your house looks very festive, and your outdoor lights are wonderful. We drove around some neighborhoods this evening looking at Christmas lights. I love them!
I baked cookies today, too.

What's a pizzelle??? Looks like a sort of pancake/biscuit(English)/cookie.

Your tree looks lovely. We aren't bothering this year, but daughter will have one, I know! I have a teeny tiny creche from Peru, a cave, with Mary and Joseph, and Jesus in the manger. On one side is a lamb, and on the other a very friendly-looking llama! Perky ears and an interested look on his face!

I love it!

Your pizzelles have inspired me to make some this weekend. Thanks, I needed a push!

Your house looks so beautiful.

We have not had the snow you had, thank goodness!
