Dolly Parton is very happy in her container and is proving it by blooming. I only wish you all could smell this rose! If you don't have it in your garden, get thee to a nursery!! I promise you it will be well worth the trip.
Sunday we're all heading down to Virginia horse country to see youngest daughter. It's supposed to rain, but we'll make do and have our picnic in good spirits. Maybe the sun will even peek through for a bit.
Here are a few other shots of the 'early' garden.

Your garden (and yard) look very beautiful. Dolly is absolutely gorgeous.
Hi Kathy, Love your Hello Dolly. Wish you could see our roses this week. Almost all of them are blooming. I'll post a blog next week showing some of them. SO pretty....
Your yard is gorgeous.... You have alot of "Pretties" all around the yard. Thanks for sharing.
Glad Blogger is back.
Hugs,
Betsy
P.S. Have a nice trip to VA
Your garden is very lovely and quite inspirational. I am trying not to be jealous that you get to garden somewhere other than in the Southwest. I love the trees and shade loving plants.
I really do like the Dolly Parton rose. Maybe I will add her to my garden this year.
Have a great trip.
Oh my! Everything looks so lush. My hostas are just about 2" out of the ground right now. A little envious that you get to enjoy your gardens longer than we up here in Eastern Ontario do. I'll live vicariously through your photographs if that's O.K.
Enjoy your visit with your daughter, Virginia horse country is beautiful!
What a beautiful garden. Thank you for the glimpses. I'm sitting here smiling away.
Your garden and yard are beautiful! And Dolly is very pretty.
Hope we have good weather for you Sunday. Enjoy your trip to horse country.
This is such a lovely garden! A rose with an actual scent? Now that is wonderful. I find so many roses have lost their scent lately. They're very perfect looking, but don't smell like they used to. I wish I could grow your rose here in hot Hawaii. I do have a Gerbera daisy in my garden, but alas... no scent.
Oh my, beautiful garden. You're definitely a couple weeks ahead of us! Love that rose...
