Just as quickly as they appeared, they are gone, a few carcasses left behind. I'm talking about the stink bugs that have plagued (in every sense of that word) us for the past two years.
When we returned from Florida there were not hundreds of them on our screens, on the cedar siding, on our fireplace screen, and our vacuum (their only known predator) sat unused.
So where did they go? Are they coming back?

I sure hope not!!!
They must have thought you were gone for good. They are off searching for you. Hope they find someone else to love! (But not me!)
I hope they didn't move south. Luckily we didn't have many here.
First, welcome home. Second, I hope the diverticulitis is flown along with the stink bugs which I dislike as much as you. Thirdly there's Cruise Law News which specializes in RCL dislike and suits.

His last two entries are about something else, but three down he's blasting away at RCL. Yes, I love Holand America, but I am allergic to something on board, darn it.
I think Narcissism was just as great 100 years ago, there were just less of us around to notice. Now everything we do is so very public.
I hope you're rid of them for good. Those things are nasty (in every sense of the word).
Welcome home.
well, I really couldn't tell you becuase I'm not certain if I've ever even seen one. I wouldn't know it if I stepped on it which God forbid I do since it would really smell I'm assuming!
Let's hope they are gone and really gone!
Ha Kathy.... Glad they left you... I've read about them --but we don't have them here.. At least, I've never seen nor smelled any... We do have a million LadyBugs about once a year come through here... They are HARD to keep out of the house --and if you kill one of them, they STINK also... Thank Goodness, they don't stay around long.
We got lucky and didn't have any Cicadas this year either...
Hugs,
Betsy
I say, "good riddance" to those critters. I hope they don't come back.
We had a few in the spring...but now: nothing! Hmmm...wonder where the stinkbug went??
They're just laying back, being quiet and waiting to attack!
I've never seen a stink bug and I'm hoping I never do! Glad they have departed your area and hoping no other creature moves in on their turf around your place :)
Come leave a comment on my blog for the Fairy Hobmother! I did and won a $50 Amazon Gift Cert. Seriously.. come comment and leave your wish.

Come play and leave your wish for the Hobmother on my blog!!
Hope you're feeling better. You're right. I've seen only one or two stinkbugs this year. On the other hand, if you're in the market for mosquitoes, I just got back from a lovely time with our daughter and her family at a beautiful house they rented in Chincoteague. The mosquitos were awful.
Kathy, I just learned of these invaders from our FL relatives. Don't send them here!
I've seen them every so often, but I've never smelled them. It's not exactly an experience I'm looking forward to.
Hi Kath,
They do seem to be gone. I have a feeling they'll be back, though. Maybe they're taking a romantic vacation to do some breeding.
Fearsome wildlife over the the States.
Glad I'm in the old UK! (Though we do get plagued with Daddy Long Legs sometimes, a bit later in the year)
Our FL relatives are telling us about this invasion. Good Luck and don't suggest that they fly West!
Yes, we just left Cinque Terre today. :( What an amazing place.
