FI FIE FO FUM!!!

Living with a toddler is like living with a tape recorder, one that  plays back at the least expected times.

At the onset of the earthquake the other day, Ariana's nanny (she's from California!) grabbed her and they went under a rather sturdy dining room table.  As they lay on the floor, the house shaking around them, our cherub looked up at her and said, "So where's the giant?"

Well we're buffing up the ark and preparing for the Great Winds of 2011 and a visit from Irene.  My goodness, it's been an interesting summer.

Yes, our TV news this morning even showed Mayor Bloomburg talking about evacuationg and go bags. You just stay safe.

What a cute (and appropriate) comment from Ariana. I hope Irene is a well-behaved guest if she insists on visiting you. Stay safe.

We were in Columbia when Isabel visited.. trees down all over our street and one crashed down on top of a neighbor's van who was too lazy to park it in the garage. Live and learn when it comes to Mother Nature and her wrath. Stay safe!

Your grandaughter sounds adorable. Smart of the Nanny to do what she did.
Hope you're feeling better with each new day.

Out of the mouths of babes!!!! How sweet....

Stay safe --if you get any of Irene... It could cause much damage in some areas. Scary!!
Hugs,
Betsy
P.S. are you still feeling well?

What a cutie she must be! Definitely something to put in the baby book...you can't make this stuff up!

Looks like Irene has us in her sights, so batten down the hatches and take in the flower pots!

What a cutie!! She sounds like my great granddaughter - they are lovely at that age!

Hope and pray you keep safe when Irene descends on you - here's hoping she veers east and calms down a bit!

Aww, that was so sweet. I wonder if she was asking out of fear of perhaps possibly seeing one or just curiosity.

Hoping you have a safe weekend and Irene moves further out to sea with each kilometre she travels.

Hy Kathy! I think of you, these days.
After the surgery (I'm very happy to know you feel good), the earthquake (no problem for you and your family), but now I'm a little bit worry about the hurricane Irene. How are you? And your family? I hope to hear you soon. Kisses, Cristina

Thank you for the laugh, I needed that.

Arianna's comment is just great...and when I thought about it, very spot-on. I'd imagine an earthquake feels like a giant walking around.

Adorable!
