It's March, Right?

Sometimes I can't place what month we're in and frankly, the blooms around me aren't helping.  Our maple tree has 'leafed' as has the crab apple behind it.

The Bradford pears and cherry trees are losing their blooms and quickly turning green.

The blueberry bush is making a promising start as are the roses, peonies (and surrounding weeds) and dicentra (bleeding hearts).

In the front of the house we've had a little help in cutting back the liriope.  The deer didn't do a complete job but we do appreciate the help.
The spirea, pieris, and helleborous are in full glory.
Today is more seasonal -- about 55°, beautifully sunny and very windy.  Still the mild weather of the past few weeks makes one wonder what kind of summer temps we'll experience.

It's wonderful seeing everything come back to life so early in the season. Ready for our 20-something degree night? Not me. Think of all the people who couldn't resist planting early.

Your garden is looking beautiful already! My pear blossoms are gone, gone, gone.

It sounds like we've met in the middle. We were UP to 55 today! Blooming is happening here too.

My daughter says the weather has been crazy in Illinois. It was 80 degrees and then now it's 50 degrees. Ah well... it's just the sort of thing that happens in the Midwest.

As a person who grew up in northwestern PA, I missed winter. I love winter, up to a point, of course. The winter of 2009-10 greatly exceeded that point, but this so-called winter we just had was ridiculous. I never got to wear a lot of my wintertime favorites. Lovely photos.

I think my flowers are coming back, but it's hard to tell because the grass is up to the second floor.

It's practically summer here. Everything is green and the allergies are going bonkers.

We are having a very unseasonal heatwave in the UK - its only March, for goodness sake! My Pieris is in full bloom, but its in a pot in a sheltered spot. My lovely dicentras are only a few inches high (though they may have grown a lot taller overnight! ;) But otherwise, even thought the heat has brought everything on early, you are ahead of us!

Makes me wonder what sort of weather we are going to get in June??

We enjoyed the same lovely weather when you did, however our greenery is not as green as yours and our maple is only starting to bud. It was nice was it lasted but I'm glad the temperatures are back to normal. I think all the birds, plants and animals are happy about the more seasonable temperatures.
