Waiting...

This year, as in others, I planted annuals and a few new perennials, that would attract butterflies and hummingbirds.  I've spotted one butterfly (besides the white ones that don't count), but nary a 'bumminghird'.  So here I sat with my tea, yogurt, and bagel.  Waiting...

Staring at these...

Hmmm. I wonder if they are like a watched pot. They say a watched pot will not boil. ;)

Enjoy the garden. It is beautiful. I'm sure they will appear soon.

Such a lovely oasis for hummingbirds and butterflies. They're sure to show up sooner or later. The weather has confused them.

Build it and they will come! What a beautiful garden. ENJOY!

Believe it or not, I already have Hummers at altitude, Kathy. They dive-bomb my Hubby if he wears red! None of my perennials are even blooming yet. I did put some red/pink annuals in pots yesterday (hope we don't get a hard freeze here). I'll send some East to you!

Did you have a new patio put in since I was last there? Your garden is beautiful! Do you have hummingbird feeders? I think they're key. I see hummingbirds on my feeders but not on my flowers.

While we have seen quite a few non-white butterflies, we haven't seen a single hummingbird.

Your patio looks beautiful.

I could handle staring at your beautiful flowers regardless of wither the butterflies and hummingbirds come.

I've always heard to hang red ribbons to attract hummingbirds.

Everything looks so sunny and gorgeous at your place, Kathy. I wish we had hummingbirds instead of mynahs in Hawaii.

Love your pots and your garden! I've got a few hummingbirds - not as many as usual however. Wonder what happened to them this year ....
