Biltmore

Not only does Biltmore in Ashville, North Carolina feature gorgeous gardens...

Spectacular vistas...

And an off the charts mansion....

But they also have a more than decent winery, with unlimited, free tastings!!  Really worth the visit!  We spent hours touring the grounds and then about 45 minutes at the winery.  They even packaged our wine purchases so we could check them at the airport.

Hi Kathy,

Love your blog and your photos. We're planning a trip to Ashville...what is the name of the winery?

Love,
Bonnie

I read that the French are miffed because American wine makers are using the word "Chateau" in their brand names. "Only France has chateaus," grumbled a French wine maker. Gotta say that "Biltmore" looks pretty much like a chateau to moi. Lovely pictures.

Wow. I don't know if I have ever seen photos of Biltmore; I've only heard about it. I looks like a great place to tour.

Nice mansion! I think I could live in a place like that, at least as long as I could get a reinforced division of people to clean and mow.
