It's Not All Been Bad

It's not all been bleak as three weeks ago the stork brought Tyler to DIL Jennie and son Michael.  And so we have another bundle to love and spoil.  Our Ariana's take on her new cousin?  When her mother was holding the baby, Ariana said, "Mommy, put that thing down."  We'll be working on this.

Doing well with the physical therapy. And am learning patience.  My new knee celebrates it's one month birthday this week.  We'll celebrate with German chocolate cake, I think.  Or we'll skip the cake and just eat that wonderful pecan/coconut icing.

Just takes those little ones a while to get in the habit of sharing mommy's time. It is cute though!
I am assuming you had a knee replacement? About 5 years ago, my hubby had both knees replaced at the same time...Oh my, it took a lot of patience on my part..He did super great and is so very thankful that he did both...

Congratulations Nonna on the birth of your new Grandson. He is so cute.
Thankfully, your new knee is progressing. Everything takes time as I'm sure you've heard more times that you care to count. However, it's true.
I also love German Chocolate Cake -that sounds like a wonderful pre-Valentine's dessert. Enjoy!

Congrats on your new grandson! Nothing is so sweet or makes you feel as great as a grandbaby. The photo is too cute...looks like he's holding on for dear life!

I just made some raspberry french macaroons...if I lived next door I'd drop by with some. Looks like you'll have to eat that yummy pecan/coconut icing! Hmmm...that gives me an idea for a new macaroon...

Congratulations on the new grand baby! I hope you and your new knee enjoy your one month celebration. The icing -- with or without the cake -- sounds delicious.

Awwww... what a cutie. I remember my daughter being upset when our son was born. They do eventually see the value of that new addition to the family. Cousins are wonderful to have!

Is that the Cookie Monster that that sweet li'l gal is wrapped up in? She clearly would prefer German chocolate cake with pecan/coconut icing. Congratulations, Grandma.
