♫"It's May, it's May; the lusty month of May...♫"

I finished planting on Monday.  Now I just walk the yard checking, weeding, sometimes re-arranging, and waiting for the plantings to 'fill out'.  I water about once a week, but the Moisture Control Potting Soil really helps retain needed moisture.

Planted are mixed zinnias and cosmos.

The Missouri primrose on the close end will bloom (yellow), shortly.

We lost all but two of our potted roses and if the damn rabbits don't leave it alone, we'll lose one of the climbers.  The roses are in full flush and smell heavenly.  Periodically, one gets a 'whiff'.  I love that fragrance!

Soon, dusk will bring the smell of wild honeysuckle.  I love that, too.  Come to think of it, there's not much about the garden that I don't like -- well maybe slugs and fungi...

Winter has its beauty, but there is nothing like the textures and verdancy of Maryland in May.

This is a side view of my bicycle garden.  There are three 'bikes' in this garden; not sure one can spot them.

Pink and white astilbe in forefront.  Day lilies and monarda as well as stachys (around blue pot) on left and far right.

And the front of the house.

I hope you all are enjoying nature in your yards and areas.

I have to say this is the first time I've heard of a bicycle garden! How clever.

Kathy, it is all just beautiful. I am quite jealous. Enjoy it! You have worked hard.

The rabbits are really worse than the deer in so many ways. We are still drenched with rain. We are afraid we have lost one of our beautiful trees due to winter kill. We did have to replace a new dwarf Alberta that had winter kill. It was a harsh winter on our landscapes in our neighborhoods.

We are enjoying the nature around us though. It is green and so beautiful. I know this because we dart out and back in between rain storms.

Very pretty. It's such fun to watch what you have planted take off and grow and put on a show.

Lovely lovely lovely. I wish I had more time to garden. Retirement is about 20-26 months off. In the meantime, perennials!

Just lovely...especially with the blue pots. No yard here. I just have to remember to water my succulents. :)

Spring is certainly busting out all over for you too. At our place in Hawaii it's same ol' same ol'. I love seeing that burst of spring on the mainland. You are a fabulous gardener.

Really lovely stuff. I was on travel (thus the many postings on on visit to France) and missed MAY. Travel is difficult for gardeners. I have to keep any zinnias behind fencing as rabbits and ground hogs are hungry. Ground hogs even keep my black-eyed Susans down.

What do I want you to know? I guess that we are very small and have a very large footprint and therefore, forget that power or else we cannot comprehend that power. But that does not really come across in my post.
